Obstetric Care
Comprehensive pre-natal and obstetric care is offered to women anticipating normal as well as high-risk deliveries.
Routine pre-natal care at the HYMC is provided by a staff of well-trained and experienced obstetricians, who guide the pregnant women through each trimester of pregnancy. A variety of services are available including pre-natal counseling, fetal monitoring, sonography and nutritional counselling.
Care of the ''high-risk'' mother optimally begins prior to conception. Pre-pregnancy counselling is offered to women with pre-existing medical conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and renal disease.
Women who are pregnant with high-risk factors are treated by a team of experienced obstetricians as well as specialists from other medical disciplines. Problems are identified early-on in the pregnancy so that optimal obstetrical surveillance and management may be provided to assure the best possible outcome for both the mother and child.

Delivery Ward
When the all-important delivery date arrives, the center provides the perfect setting for the baby's birth. The Delivery Ward is currently furnished with 8 modern labor/delivery/ recovery rooms - a room for each parturient. Each is equipped with the most progressive medical equipment both for the baby and the mother. It features flexibility and a relaxed setting for the mother and her family to foster bonding between them and the baby at the time of birth. Services are designed to provide education and support, helping women during pregnancy, childbirth and the period immediately following the baby's birth.

Feto-Maternal Medicine
The feto-maternal medicine, high-risk pregnancy branch has 16 beds for complicated pregnancies requiring hospitalization, as well as an out-patient clinic which treats pregnant women with diabetes mellitus, hypertension and kidney, liver, lung and heart diseases.
The use of fetal sonography, Doppler blood flow measurements, non-stress testing and biophysical profiles enable the prenatal diagnosis of a wide variety of fetal conditions.

Gynecology and Oncology
The main service is gynecological investigation and surgery. Among the most common procedures are hysterectomies, therapeutic D&Cs for heavy bleeding and miscarriages, laparoscopic investigation of infertile couples, and plastic surgery for pelvic relaxation and urinary incontinence.
The Gynecological-Oncology branch is an integral part of the gynecological department. The personnel perform early diagnosis, surgery and follow-up. The treatment is multidisciplinary and includes aspects of medicine, surgery, intensive care, social and psychological assistance.

|
Endoscopy and Gynecology
Laparoscopic and Hysteroscopic surgery ( minimally invasive surgery) involves almost all the types of gynecological surgery, including ovaries, Fallopian tubes, fibroids of uterus and laparoscopically assisted hysterectomies. Actually, almost 70% of gynecological procedures are perfomed by
endoscopic techniques.

Urogynecology
Urogynecological services offer a wide spectrum of care for women suffering from urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and other pelvic floor problems. Targeted diagnostic testing is performed, including a complete gynecological examination, in addition to bladder testing, discussing treatment options and implementing an effective management plan, according to the patient's condition, goals and wishes. Emphasis is placed on multi-modality treatment and on conservative, non-surgical methods as well.

Infertility and In-Vitro Fertilization
Comprehensive care for patients with fertility problems and menstrual irregularities is provided. Ultrasound testing is available to monitor ovulation induction and assess abnormalities of the pelvic organs. Hysteroscopy may be performed. The center also has facilities for performing endocrinological testing, semen analysis, donor and homologous insemination.
The infertility and IVF (in-vitro fertilization) clinic operate as one integrative service, utilizing the continuity of evaluation, diagnosis and various modalities of treatments, including ICSI (Intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection), cryopreservation of embryos and ova donation.

Ultrasound
Ultrasound is the best possible form of imaging for the pelvic organs, the fetus' well-being, providing the clinician with real-time information and guided operative procedures. Obstetrical examinations include pre-natal diagnosis and early detection of fetal malformations, follow-up of the fetus and fetal surveillance.
A wide variety of gynecological examinations are carried out, such as uterine and ovarian examinations, investigation of tumors and urogynecological conditions. Ultrasound is carried out prior to certain various surgical procedures, urgent or elective.
