Description:
The new Endocrinology and Diabetes Unit was established for the purpose of diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, education and research of hormonal and metabolic diseases.
The field of Endocrinology includes:
1. Diabetes and blood fat
2. Thyroid, hypophysis and adrenal diseases
3. Bone diseases, such as osteoporosis
4. Gall stones
5. Sexual malfunction
Our aim is to treat the patient as a whole, considering all aspects of the disease he suffers from on his life. Early treatment and appropriate health conduct may decrease the long-term damage and improve quality and duration of life.
The field of Endocrinology enfolds medical and preventive treatment in addition to guiding the patient in appropriate health conduct.
Our team includes professionals in various fields: doctors, nurses, a social worker and a dietician.
Each team member treats the patient according to his profession. At the same time, the team conducts periodic staff meetings in which they form treatment plans for the patients, based on the integration of their various fields of profession, along with personal reflections on how each patient might respond to the treatment for his disease.
The team provides constant guidance and advice for the patients in all respects.
The Endocrinology Unit expresses the concept in which the most possible amount of medical services are given in this field, as well as guidance and support for the patients and their families.
The unit holds one-day hospitalization beds, examination rooms, a laboratory and a waiting-room, which contains various teaching and guidance accessories.
