Description:
Social Services provides valuable aid in the matter of various questions and psycho-social problems raised by patients and their families during hospitalization. The social workers must provide a constant, adaptive support-system, helping these patients and their families learn to deal with the emotional and psychological events of sickness and trauma. The important area of intervention within the family structure consists of planning for the patient's discharge, continuing therapy in the community.

In addition, we conduct special programs for coping with car-accident injuries, terminal or chronic illnesses, diabetics, dialysis patients as well as familial violence cases.

The department also provides information for the population and their families regarding the welfare rights, services and various aids available to them in the community.

All our social workers have full degrees in this field, being experts in social health problems, and knowledgeable in short-term individual, couple and familial therapy.

The department was given full recognition for students by Israeli universities.

For more information on consultations and guidance, please feel free to call our secretary at 06-6304268, or contact the head nurses in the departments and hospital clinics.

We provide brochures with information on community services for the elderly and other various health topics.
