Description: The Pediatric Department is considered a general in-patient ward and serves a population of 250,000 children. We provide the following care: Acute care via the Emergency Unit. We see all comers (newborns to 15 year-olds) for all complaints, including acute and chronic diseases. Our pediatric services include pulmonary, hematologic, cardiologic and infectious diseases in patients with acute and chronic illnesses. Medical investigation and follow-up for patients referred by the community are also performed via the out-patient clinics.
