Description: The Out-patient Clinics provide the hospital with a steady connection with the community, who come in on their doctor's recommendation for specialized treatment. In addition, these clinics provide follow-up programs for patients who had been hospitalized, for those who were referred by the Emergency Room physicians or others referred by family physicians. Patients may be a bit apprehensive at times, therefore the staff must be calm and courteous. Our various functions include the following: 1. Making appointments -  by mail, telephone or personally with the patient himself or by written request from a doctor.  sorting the requests, categorizing them according to their field of medicine.  notifying the patients of the time and date of their appointments.  dealing with changes in appointment times. 2. Patient admission -  Reviewing the patient's papers upon arrival in order to see if all the required tests have been done and everything is in order before the patient is examined.  Opening a file for the patient, verifying if all the needed information is ready for submission to the physician.  Computerizing all information regarding appointments, receiving the necessary data for billing the patient.  Making further appointments if necessary and/or recommended by the doctor.
